How does Chelation therapy work
?
The chemical EDTA (ethylene
diamine tetra acetic acid) along with vitamins and minerals,is
given in an intravenous drip over a period of three hours,
EDTA binds with (chelates) and removes, through the kidneys,
toxic metals such as
lead,aluminium,cadmium,arsenic,tin,antimony,
excess iron and copper, to name a few. These heavy metals
trigger the formation of free radicals which play a major role
in the degenerative illnesses, including heart and blood vessel
disease.By removing heavy metals, free radical damage is
significantly reduced or reversed.
EDTA also restores enzymatic
function,normalises calcium metabolism,protects the integrity
of platelets (making them less sticky), encourages metabolic
efficiency and helps re-establish prostaglandin hormone
balance which in turn prevents arterial spasm, blood clots and
plaque formation.
